Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation: The official self-diagnosis application, AsistenciaCOVID-19, now available in five new Autonomous Communities
AsistenciaCOVID-19 will help to relieve the congestion on healthcare telephones by providing official and reliable information.
From today it can be used in Asturias, the Canary Islands, Cantabria, Castilla-La Mancha and Extremadura, which are added to the Community of Madrid
The Government has already made this app available to all the Autonomous Communities so that all citizens can benefit from this technology.
This solution guarantees maximum security in the use of personal data of the population. The development has been possible thanks to public-private partnerships with technology companies and the advice of health experts.
The application, through the request of a series of identification and health data related to the symptoms experienced, makes it possible to offer recommendations and guidelines for action.
In addition, through the geolocation system via GPS of the mobile phone, with the user’s permission, the autonomous community in which it is located will be validated in order to personalize the responses according to the protocols of each one of them.
All the data collected by the application is necessary to be able to advise each person. In no case are they used to control the compliance of the containment measures. Only health professionals and authorised competent authorities will be allowed access to the data.
Personal data will be kept for the duration of the health crisis and, once it is over, will be aggregated in an anonymous form for statistical, research or public policy purposes, for a maximum period of two years.
